Moroccan Folk Dance with Nawarra (free to attend)

Moroccan Folk Dance with Nawarra (free to attend)

Experience the rhythm of Morocco and journey through traditional dance and culture.

Join Belly Dance World and moroccan Dance Artist, Nawarra, for an inspiring series of workshops in Nottingham, delving into the vibrant art of Moroccan dance. Reflecting the deep cultural heritage of North Africa, Moroccan dance is filled with expressive movements that celebrate community, storytelling, and joy.

Throughout the series, Nawarra will introduce you to a variety of Moroccan styles, including Berber, Chaabi, and Amazigh dances. Each style brings its unique rhythm, lively footwork, and expressive gestures, symbolising community and connection. You'll learn the background and significance of each dance, from the celebratory spirit of Chaabi to the flowing grace of Amazigh traditions.

These workshops are open to all levels and offer a welcoming space to experience Moroccan culture through movement. Whether you’re a newcomer to dance or have more experience, you’ll leave each class with a deeper appreciation for Moroccan dance and its joyful, communal spirit.

(These workshops are for all women and women only.)
